Crossing the Desolation question - Guild Wars Forums

Before it gets posted, yes I have looking in the almighty Wiki first before posting here ...

My story ... I decided to try and get my necro though NF because of the weekend that is on just now. I haven't played her there in awhile, so I don't know which line I was following (Koss or Melonni). It says in the "Wiki-bible" that you need to complete either Jennur's Hold for Koss or Nundu Bay for Melonni, then you can get the questCrossing the Desolation, either in Sunspear Sanctuary or K. Bazaar.

My question is ... I've done masters on both mission, but can't get the quest you need so I can go through the Desolate. Any have ideas of what I've done wrong? (and no, it's not in my quest list and no I haven't done it yet)

Is Zhed in your party?

That's all I can think of that could be stopping you from picking the quest up..

Quest Requirements:

Zhed Shadowhoof is required in the party
Jennur's Horde (mission) -OR- Nundu Bay (mission)

Obtained from

Lonai in Sunspear Sanctuary (if you followed Melonni and did the Nundu Bay mission)
Zerai the Learner in The Kodash Bazaar (if you followed Koss and did the Jennur's Horde mission)

according to wiki, you have to get the quest crossing the desolation.
says you start it by talking to kormir in the command bunker area, then go to zhed and then mizra. then you have to go find palawa joko and help him i think then you can get the mission where you get to ride the wurms.

Did you do the missions in Normal Mode? Doing the mission for zmission in HM does not put your storyline forward.

What? You have to do missions in NM the first time you do them or you don't advance in the story? I've never heard that. Would be weird.

Did you do at least one of the "Heart or Mind" quests? Or did you do those missions by joining the party of someone who had already done the appropriate quest? (I don't know if the game allows players into those missions if they haven't personally done the required quest, but, if it does, it would explain why *your* storyline isn't advancing.)

Yes, I did the Koss quest on Friday, Jennur's Hordes on Saturday, I mastered it ... teleported to the Bazaar like I'm suppose to, but no quest was waiting for me

So I thought maybe I should do the other one, so I did ... mastered it, teleported and still ... no quest waiting for me.

Have you looked at your map?

To check that they all have been given the appropiate symbols for completion?

Also check your Nightfall book if you have one?

Seeing the first part of the wiki page that is exactly what a friend of mine did wrong, he never talked to kormir in the outpost. There for he could not free palawa and so on.
